The winter of 2006-2007 has been strange. Around Christmas, there was so little snow that up in ski country, they were laying off workers. Then I went to Finland for the first two weeks in January, and the weather was about +6 Celsius and raining. When I went to New York, there was a brief flurry of snow but no accumulation.
Just when we think that global warming has changed the climate of the country … we get a reminder that we still live in Canada. On a normal day, I don’t really mind, because it’s a good way for me to get some exercise. I get dressed in warm clothes, put some talks onto the headphones, and then shovel out the front yard and the back yard.
I notice that my technique is better than anyone else in my family. I must have gotten a lot more practice clearing the snow around the store in Gravenhurst.
