As part of the NJIT study tour in Finland, we were privileged to have a visit at Planmeca. This is the smallest company sponsoring the Rendez project. As an alternative to having dental students learning in the mouths of each other, they can train on an artificial substitute, with the instructor monitoring at a central workstation. Planmeca also has some totally virtual e-training programs.
In more traditional dental equipment, Minna tried out the patient’s chair, and remarked at how comfortable it was. In reality, red doesn’t seem to be a popular colour, although it shows up well in this white environment.
