		<description>The metro in Paris is actually the fastest way to get around - probably not on a Sunday morning though.  And as you say, it was built at a time when escalators and elevators were not yet very common - it was not designed with luggage in mind.
Did we miss each other again?  I was there on 21 december on my way to Brussels.</description>
